TAPD ("the App") is developed and operated by Lifeline Labs LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use TAPD by Lifeline Labs.

By using TAPD, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

TAPD is designed with privacy first. All data you enter into the app is stored locally on your device only.

Information you provide:

  • Full name and date of birth

  • Blood type and organ donor status

  • Medical conditions, medications, and allergies

  • Emergency contact names and phone numbers

  • Pet information (name, species, breed, vet details, microchip ID)


Information we do NOT collect:

  • We do not collect any personal data on our servers

  • We do not track your location

  • We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs

  • We do not share your data with any third parties

  • We do not require account creation or login

3. How Your Data Is Used

All data entered into TAPD is used solely for the following purposes:

  • Storing your emergency profile locally on your device

  • Writing your emergency profile to NFC chips you own

  • Displaying your profile in the first responder preview screen

Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly write it to an NFC chip or send an SMS message through the app.

4. NFC Data

When you write your profile to an NFC chip:

  • The data is encoded onto the physical chip you own

  • Anyone who taps the chip with an NFC-enabled phone can read the information

  • You are responsible for the physical security of your NFC chips

  • TAPD does not transmit your NFC data to any server

5. SMS Messages

When an NFC chip is tapped, the app may open a pre-composed SMS message containing your emergency profile information. This SMS is:

  • Addressed to your emergency contacts

  • Composed on your device using your phone's native Messages app

  • Only sent if you or another person chooses to send it

  • Never intercepted or stored by Lifeline Labs

6. Local Storage

Your profile data is stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage (MMKV). This data:

  • Is not backed up to any cloud service by TAPD

  • Is deleted when you uninstall the app

  • Is only accessible by the TAPD app

7. User Accounts (Website)

TAPD offers optional user accounts to enhance your experience. When you create an account, we collect basic account information including:

  • Full name

  • Email address

  • Password (stored securely using industry-standard encryption — never stored in plain text)

  • Account creation date

  • Device information (device type and operating system for account security purposes)


How your account information is used:

  • To create and manage your account

  • To authenticate your identity when you log in

  • To send account-related communications such as password resets and security alerts

  • To provide customer support if you contact us


How your account information is protected:

  • Passwords are hashed and encrypted before storage

  • We use industry-standard security protocols to protect your data

  • We do not sell your account information to third parties

  • We do not use your account information for advertising purposes


Account deletion:

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at lifelinelabsusa@gmail.com. Upon deletion, all account information will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your information at all times. You can:

  • Edit or delete any profile at any time within the app

  • Delete all data by uninstalling the app

  • Erase data from NFC chips by overwriting them with a new profile

9. Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. TAPD:

  • Stores all data locally using encrypted on-device storage

  • Does not transmit personal data over the internet

  • Does not require internet access to function

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the Last Updated date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
